Steal my Style – 4 days at The Cheltenham Festival. What I wore, outfit details and how to create the perfect look!

Hello my darlings!

I hope you are all well, and have been enjoying the better weather we have had here in England! I am so excited to share with you today the details from the four outfits that I wore to Cheltenham Festival this year.

For those not familiar, The Cheltenham Festival is held once a year in March, in the Cotswolds, England. The event runs over a four day duration, and sees the best of the best competing for victory, with the highlight of the event being the Cheltenham Gold Cup, held on the final day.

I have been a member at Cheltenham Racecourse for many many years now, so I have some good experience when it comes to dressing for the event. I understand that often we can end up lusting over creators who have been gifted with lavish outfits worth thousands, and it can feel overwhelming how to recreate these. Afterall, anyone can pull together the perfect outfit, having been styled head to toe by a top brand!

I hope my outfits below show that you can mix a range of high street and luxury pieces to still create beautiful race days looks, that you don’t have to follow current trends out there, and that simple to put together outfits can still look really elegant and well thought out!

All of the brands I’m wearing are linked for you my darlings, if you want to check them out yourselves! Simply click the brand name!

So, let’s get into it!

šŸŽ Day One šŸŽ
Champions Day

Day one of the Festival, and definitely my favourite day. There is such a buzz of excitement on that first day knowing what’s to come, and nothing quite beats that first race roar.

I rarely plan my outfits in advance, however, I often know something I want to wear, and build an outfit around. For day one, I really wanted to wear this stunning collaboration between The Spanish Boot Company x Joules. I first saw this collab at Burghley last year, and fell in love. Incredibly soft, supple leather, beautiful detailing and so easy to wear, these boots ooze elegance. The colour of the boots is more chestnut than tan, so I paired with a pale tweed and black base. The headpiece and boots are the key colours and stand out pieces of the outfit, so I kept the base pretty simple.

When you have a particularly statement colour or piece as part of your outfit, you can keep your base really simple and back to basics. I just used a simple top and black jeans.

šŸ’ƒ Day Two šŸ’ƒ
Style Wednesday

Day Two, otherwise known as Style Wednesday. This isn’t something I typically go out my way to be involved with, although when it was Ladies Day, there was often a focus around colour, which I found much more enjoyable! I believe, Ladies Day is making a comeback next year! So possibly there hasn’t been the same uptake in participation and excitement as there used to be!

This outfit was probably the most ā€˜out there’ for me through the week. I think the Wednesday at the races has always encouraged you to push your styling and to try something different.

I wanted to mix bold and bright with a taupe instead of the classic tan. The orange coat was from Hortons England and was the standout piece, I then combined an outfit of taupe to offset the coat. I thought the look came together well, and it was nice not being a mirror image of the other outfits at the racecourse!

šŸ€ Day Three šŸ€
St. Patrick’s Day

Now this is always a lively day at the racecourse!. Often on St Patrick’s day you’ll see a sea of green outfits as a nod to the Irish.

Of course my outfit had to feature some green, although you might notice this as a more traditional race day look than days 1&2.

I had a really fun headpiece from my good friend at Josephine’s Country Collection, which I teamed with a brown and green outfit. The Welligogs jacket is a really beautiful fitting piece, these always make me feel so great, well made and incredibly flattering.

I’ll be honest, this type of outfit is my exact favourite type to put together and wear. Really classic racing styling.

šŸ† Day Four šŸ†
Gold Cup Day

The finale, and it’s a big one! This is the most popular day at the festival, and it’s always a really special one, so of course my outfit had to be too!

If you’re a regular to my blog or social media channels, you’ll know just how much I LOVE plum! I think it’s such a beautiful shade that works year round. It’s rich, beautiful tone, feels more mature than pink, but less bold than red!

Another headpiece from Josephine’s Country Collection starting the outfit off strong, I then incorporated plum throughout the whole look!

I love how this feminine and elegant look came together, the colours were rich and the outfit felt both classic and unique.
