Spend the day with me … We try everything on the breakfast menu at Sef’s Steakhouse, and Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham Racecourse

Hello my darlings, and a warm welcome to February. I know it’s not just me, but January has felt L O N G! However, we’ve made it, and I have some exciting blogs and content to share throughout this month!

Firstly, join me for the adventures last weekend, which include breakfast dining at Sef’s Steakhouse, and a day at the races!

🍳 Sef’s Steakhouse 🍳

Situated in the heart of central Cheltenham, Sef’s Steakhouse is an independent restaurant, offering an elegant interior, delicious food and what they describe as a theatrical dining experience, with some dishes even being finished at the table.

Sef’s are usually open from 11.30am for lunch and dinner, however, on occasions, they also open for breakfast.

Cheltenham town welcomes the prestigious Cheltenham Festival in March (dates Tues 11th – Fri 14th March 2025). For the duration of the Festival, Sef’s will be open 9.00am-11.30am, with a delectable breakfast offering.

Here at CCL, we have been long standing customers and friends of Sef’s and we were fortunate enough to be invited to the restaurant, ahead of this launch, to try out everything on the menu!

That’s right, we tried EVERYTHING.

I love the food here, it’s always a firm choice of ours, and I can safely say the breakfast was no exception. The Sef’s steak breakfast was my favourite, as a steak obsessed girlie, if I can have it with my breakfast…. then yes please, and the steak here is of course the most delicious quality! I also loved the salmon on the Eggs Royale. I tried the veggie sausages and they had good flavour to them, not something I am hugely experienced in, but I enjoyed them!

Alongside breakfast, Sef’s have an extensive drinks menu, including cocktails. The Salted Caramel espresso martini is an absolute must with their breakfasts, and their Lychee martini is simply beautiful! Heading to Sef’s for dinner instead? I highly recommend the Black Forest martini!

We will definitely be heading back to Sef’s for a breakfast ahead of a day at the festival, and my choice will be the steak breakfast and a Salted Caramel espresso martini!

🏆 Festival Trials Day 🏆

Festival Trials Day – the final days racing at Cheltenham Racecourse, before the Festival in March. This date offers spectators the final opportunity to see huge Festival contenders battling it out on the turf, ahead of the renowned Cheltenham Festival.

Racing fans flocked in their thousands to the meet, with the chance of seeing Constitution Hill take victory at the front of everyone’s minds! Despite a blunder at the final hurdle, Constitution Hill did take the crown, and remains odds on favourite ahead of the Festival.

🐎Steal my Race Day Style:🐎

It isn’t a race day without a little style, and I know you love to see the details of what I’m wearing!

This meet I went for a very classic navy and gold/cream look. Simple and elegant.
