3 easy to wear outfits, perfect for getting you back to brunch, shopping or drinks in the garden!

We all welcomed with open arms the 12th April earlier this week, and the lifting of some restrictions here in the UK. It’s been a long time coming, and it’s time to finally dig out all of our old favourites, and get creating outfits again. It might have felt a little overwhelming staring at a wardrobe of clothes which have barely surfaced over the past year. Maybe you’ve had an outfit you’ve been dying to wear, or a new piece you’ve been desperate to style, or maybe you’ve just felt completely lost on how to piece together the perfect outfit after wearing comfy clothes and PJ’s for over 12 months.

Well, never fear … CCL is here with 3 very easy outfits, which will take you everywhere you need to go over the upcoming weeks!

I think my style is very easily recreated, so it’s not that you need to have these exact items, but you can recreate the look from your own wardrobes, or easy to find items. My wardrobe is very much based on easy to wear, easy to style pieces. I have pulled together 3 slightly different looks, which I know you could recreate yourself, and may inspire some outfits for the upcoming weeks. Where possible, I have linked the exact (or similar) pieces for you!

Outfit One

Perfect for a trip to brunch.

I have shared this outfit a couple of times over on my social media because I LOVE it! It is so comfortable, so easy, and so stylish! It ticks all the boxes for the perfect outfit. I wouldn’t say I am particularly ‘cool’, nor do I dress that way, but this outfit certainly makes me feel that way!

You can’t go wrong with a Tan/Camel coloured jumper, everyone should have one of these in their wardrobe because it will go with everything from tweed skirts to coated jeans. It is easy to wear and style and is just an easy essential. This version has a slightly dropped shoulder and more of a funnel neck. This style is easy to wear another layer underneath, and also looks great with a shirt or shirt collar underneath, meaning it is perfect for those slightly cooler April evenings!

I have never been a fan of the leather look jeans, purely because they are a little too ‘cool’ for my style, they feel very out of my comfort zone. However, I found these coated jeans at Next, which despite appearing to be a leather look in the images below, they are actually more of a matte, non shine finish, which I just feel in love with. I took a bit of a gamble when I purchased them as I just wasn’t sure if they would work with my wardrobe, but they have become a favourite! This pair isn’t button up, they are a simple pull on, but with belt loops, so you get the best of both worlds, comfort but with the jean look by being able to wear with a belt. They are really stretchy too making them really comfortable and easy to wear.

I have teamed with some classic Wayfarer Raybans, a matching tan handbag and black ankle boots. I have also added an animal print pop to the look through a matching belt and scrunchie. Scrunchies are most definitely back, and I really love them. I like opting for those with a tail, they look particularly great with slightly longer hair in a pony, and they add an extra element to your outfit.

Outfit Two

This outfit would be great everywhere, from shopping to drinks at the pub.

This is such an easy to style, easy to wear look. This is exactly the sort of outfit I base a lot of my skirt outfits on – an easy roll neck, tall boots and a longer length jacket. This is so easily recreated with items you will already have in your wardrobe, and your accessories can really dress the outfit up or down.

This jacket from Welligogs is a slightly lighter style which I love, it is almost more of a blazer type feel to it, but in that elegant and feminine longer length. The baby blue colour is ultra S/S appropriate, and the navy detailing ties in really well with the rest of the outfit. Always look for colour accents within the clothing you wear, and look to tie in your accessories or footwear with this. I have teamed a very simple rollneck underneath, so it doesn’t take anything away from the jacket.

The skirt is actually a moleskin material, which is a really nice alternative to others out there. Is washes incredibly well, and the simple, navy style is perfect for pairing with anything and everything. This also ties in well with the navy over the knee boots which I have paired with the look.

I finished this outfit with a rectangular basket bag. If there is an item that just screams Spring/Summer style, it is a basket bag. This is a modern take on the slightly more traditional bags, but I love it. It’s unique and a really practical size.

This look could be created using any colour combinations that you like. Why not try the look with a longer line camel coat and a brown skirt and boots.

Outfit Three

This final outfit is incredibly easy to recreate with items already in your wardrobe, and is a very classic, Country style.

Almost everyone has a blazer in their wardrobe, and these can be used to create a really simple outfit, perfect for heading back out into the world again. This blazer is more of a jersey style, so it has a bit of stretch to it, and it comfortably goes over a jumper which makes it great for evening styling. The jumper underneath is a beautiful baby pink, which is another really versatile S/S season colour. This particular jumper is a multiway style, where it can be worn with buttons to the back as a jumper, or buttons to the front as a cardigan, offering two completely different looks with just one piece.

I have used a scarf to tie the colours of the outfit together. I have then used tan accessories in the form of a belt, bag and boots, to finish the look. Using accessories which all tie in together helps to create a polished finish to your outfit. I find over the knee boots just my go to, I don’t see them as overly dressy (maybe because I do just throw them on with everything), but you could equally pair this look with ankle boots or knee high boots if you would prefer.
