Fairfax and Favor Chatham II Coin Purse

So you may remember earlier this month on Instagram, that I let you all in on my Secret Santa adventure! I was very fortunate to be invited to join in the Fairfax and Favor Secret Santa this year, to celebrate the festive season! I was so excited about this as we didn’t do anything at work, and I haven’t done a Secret Santa with friends for a long time, so of course I jumped at the chance to be involved with this!

With my beautifully wrapped gift arrived a card, from my Secret Santa, which said:

“Dear Lucinda, Merry Christmas. This is fun! I’ve loved working with you on the Summer cover image this year, it has been great getting to know you. I hope we can continue to do so into next year and beyond! You’re smashing it, never let anyone dull your sparkle! Lots of love, Secret Santa xx”

Well of course I knew immediately who this was from, and I was so touched by such a beautiful message, and words of such support from the ultimate ‘girl boss’. Can you guess who my Secret Santa was? All will be revealed below… keep reading!

The present I received from my Secret Santa was the Fairfax and Favor Chatham II Coin Purse in Navy and Tan. I’ve never really thought about a coin purse much before, I do have one, because I find them really useful for tucking inside a clutch bag or smaller bag, particularly when I’m at the races. But of course, Fairfax and Favor take coin purses to a whole new level. I opened this and gave out a little squeal! This was one of the most beautiful things I had ever held!!!

The Chatham II is simply stunning, combining gorgeous tan suede with a fine grain navy leather. Everything about this purse feels luxurious. It is a great size, it is structured and it isn’t too small, which I really liked as it was so beautiful I wanted it to show … with EVERYTHING!! The purse will fit into your smaller bags, or within your main handbag perfectly, but equally holds its own as a stand alone item. The lining is suede, there are a couple of small card pockets inside and the purse features a full zip closure and classic shield logo stud.

I absolutely adore this purse, my Secret Santa couldn’t have got this any more right – I am completely and utterly in love. Yet another amazing product from Fairfax and Favor and I was overwhelmed to be included in the Secret Santa this year!

Also available in: Chocolate, Navy, Tan, Chocolate Croc and Oxblood Croc.

Did you guess correctly?! My Secret Santa was, of course, the incredible Hollie-Ella from In The Country Magazine!

Country Allure Cowhide Teardrop Dangle Earrings

Well what can I say, Country Allure is just very Lucinda!! If you know me, you’ll know just how much I love cowhide products, I am obsessed! This brand has some truly fantastic items, and for me their cowhide jewellery is stand out, stunning and most of all unique!

Country Allure is an Australian lifestyle brand, founded by Angela Taylor, who’s ‘about me’ page on the Country Allure website is one of the most honest, respectful and ‘girl boss’ pages you could ever read! You absolutely must check out the Country Allure website and social media pages, this brand embraces woman and encourages us to be.. well us!! I absolutely love everything that the brand stands for, it is so much more than just incredible products.

I have received a few products from the brand which I can’t wait to share with you. But first up is the gorgeous Teardrop Dangle earrings, which you may have spotted me wearing to Cheltenham Races recently! The stunning print on these earrings is really striking, and I love how soft and lightweight they are. They are not bulky or heavy – you don’t notice they are there, but wow they make a statement. The teardrop shape is unique and it is large enough to show off the print, whichever colour you have gone for. These teardrop earrings are placed on sterling silver hooks, and don’t forget due to the nature of cowhide, each set will be unique! The earrings measure approximately 5cm x 3cm.

Other cowhide prints are also available.

Priced at: $19.99 ASD (which is approximately 10.67 GBP, you can change the currency on their website!)

Sprawling and Osborne Cressing Sweatshirt

I love investment pieces which is something that really stands out about Sprawling and Osborne as a brand. The brand is focused on natural and recycled materials, ensuring you’re investing in good quality products, and avoiding the throw away a trends that we know all too well today!

The Cressing Sweatshirt is a classic style that can take you from day to evening. I love these style sweatshirts, which yo are able to dress up, but they are also perfect for cosy days at home or a more relaxed look. The Cressing Sweatshirt is unisex and is made from 5% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester, which is produced from old plastic bottles. The recycled polyester is between two layers of organic cotton, which ensures a soft comfortable feel, which utilising natural and recycled materials. The cosy feel to these sweatshirts also make the perfect for this time of year!

The sweatshirt comes in sizes XXS-XL. There is a sizing guide available on the website. The brand has put a lot of thought into achieving the right sizing for you. Some people love an oversized look, whilst others, like me, prefer much more fitted clothing. The Sprawling and Osborne size guide shows chest, body and sleeve measurements to give you the perfect fit! This for me is a stand out service as I tend to invest in clothing and therefore I do want to make sure it’s the right fit for me! Also, who wants to be ordering several sizes, posting back and forth, not me that’s for sure!

I went for the Navy, if you follow my instagram, you’ll know I wear Navy an awful lot! I thought this would go with everything I normally wear, but I also liked the simple, classic colour. I really love this sweatshirt and I am so impressed by how helpful the brand is, but also their ethos for using recycled and natural materials for their products. These sweatshirts are a must have for any wardrobe!

There are also hoodies, tee’s and tassels amongst the collection, all available to shop online on their website.

Cressing Sweatshirt also available in: Pink and Sky

Country Design Studios Lexham Cartridge Tassels

Country Design Studios is a British country clothing and accessories brand, which opened this year, after owner Caitlin wanted to produce country themed keyrings and accessories, and noticed a gap for her designs. The products from Country Design Studios are handmade by Caitlin, using British sourced, high quality materials.

I received a pair of the baby pink faux suede Lexham Cartridge Tassels from Country Design Studios. I loved the colour and knew these would be the right fit for me. I love shooting so the cartridge detailing on these tassels was perfect! I also like that the tassels attach with a press stud. If ever you have lost a boot tassel, you will understand the immense panic that washes over you, and the manic retracing of steps that immediately boots. I love that there is no worry of this once you have popped the tassels closed.

The great thing about these tassels is that they can be completely personalised to suit you! These are available in several different faux leather and suede colours, as well as a new faux floral and leopard print range (btw I have my eye on the metallic coral faux leopard print, how amazing does that sound!!). You can also select from four different cartridges. There really is something there to create the perfect finish to your outfit. There is something very satisfying about a matching tassel/outfit combination!

The tassels came beautifully wrapped, in a gift box and finished with a ribbon. Not only would these make a great gift, they are also the perfect present for treating yourself! I love these tassels and would happily buy these as a gift for someone, or treating myself, I think I have my eye on the leather ones now!

Delivery is free of charge within the UK, as products are handmade, you should allow 7-10 days for delivery. Country Design Studios are happy to help create the right gift for you, so if there is something specific that you would like then they would be happy to discuss this further. There is also a personal service where if you have your own feathers or cartridges, these can be used on your product.

Dermalogica Redness Relief Essence

If you follow my instagram (@countryclassiclucinda) you’ll know that recently I’ve been very unhappy with my skin. I’ve struggled to keep it looking right, and it has actually really bothered me, there was a point when I felt I couldn’t come on camera because I was that embarrassed by it.

I have been fortunate enough to try out a variety of the Dermalogica products over the past few weeks, in the hope I could find some products for my daily routine that will help to control the outbreaks I keep getting.

If you haven’t heard of the Dermalogica products range before, definitely have a look into these, and I will be sharing some of the products I’ve been trying on my blog as we go. Dermalogica began in 1986, with the aim of creating a skin care line free of irritants, and much more focused on skin health, rather than beauty. There is so much available on the market now that it can become completely overwhelming trying to work out what you need to buy, and for what skin type. Dermalogica products are broken down into easy to understand ranges, but they also have professionals on hand to help. They offer a face mapping skin analysis service, skin bar sessions and a variety of treatments, all designed to help you with your own skin. You can find a local store on their website.

The Redness Relief Essence is part of the Ultracalming range. This range has been specifically designed for skin prone to sensitivity and flair-ups – sounds perfect for what I’ve been dealing with! The product is lightweight but concentrated, and aims to reduce redness, boost hydation, calm, soothe and balance skin, and also strengthen the skins moisture barrier.

This product is one of my favourites that I have tried from Dermalogica so far. I’ve been suffering with redness to my skin and at the moment I seem to be prone to flair-ups, which is making my skin feel really sore. I have found this product is helping to calm my skin and I have noticed an improvement with this as part of my skincare routine. I haven’t been using the product for very long so I am excited to see the continued results as I keep up using the product. It is really quick and easy to apply and it absorbs into the skin well so it doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky once applied.

How to use: Cleanse as normal and then shake product. Once shaken, dispense into palm and pat the product over the face, neck and chest, twice a day.

The product is also gluten free, cruelty free, and there are no artificial fragrances and colours in the product.

Sizes available: 50ml/150ml

Priced at: £19.00/£38.00
