Chosen by Country Classic Lucinda – April 21 Edition 💜

Hi Darlings, it’s that time of month again – pay day Bank Holiday weekend! I do apologise that we are a day late with this one, things have just been crazy busy here!

As always, I am bringing you my end of the month top picks which I have been trying, testing and loving this month. I have a real mixture of items for you this time, and I am convinced there is something for everyone below!

The Silver Stable Stirrup Necklaces

I couldn’t choose between them, I just had to include them both! ✨

I am really quite picky about my jewellery now as I wear it every single day. I am quite naughty but I don’t take my jewellery off at all, therefore, it has a fairly hard life, and needs to be tough enough and resilient to stand up to Country life, whilst still looking delicate and feminine on.

The Silver Stable jumped out at me early on due to their unique, Equestrian designs, specifically the two featured in this blog. I love forward thinking brands, bringing new ideas to the forefront. The Silver Stable have such a beautiful collection of jewellery, which perfectly compliments a country wardrobe, whilst still being practical and hard wearing, and everything is hand made to order. All of the jewellery is made from a choice of sterling silver or 9ct gold.

There are two necklaces which particularly stood out to me from the collection – the Sterling Silver Maxi Stirrup Necklace, and the Chunky Sterling Silver Necklace with Silver T-Bar Clasp.

The Maxi Stirrup necklace is such a sweet, simple design, but such a classic and it looks beautiful layered with similar themed jewellery. I chose one of the longer chain options with this necklace to be able to wear with my shorter necklace designs, but this also looks beautiful on its own, and still stands alone perfectly.

The T-Bar necklace is a real statement piece, with a choice of charms available where the clasp meets at the centre of the necklace. I chose this in a short chain length, so I can wear this higher up, with a longer length maxi stirrup necklace below. I opted for the stirrup charm as this matches the rest of my jewellery from The Silver Stable.

Layering necklaces creates such a great look, and the variety of chain lengths from The Silver Stable means it is really easy to mix and match your favourite pieces together. This is now my favourite way to wear necklaces!

Arion Equestrian GB Lavender Leggings

One for the equestrians … 🦄🐴

If there was ever a perfect Spring colour, this is it!
It has become more popular than ever to match at the yard, and leggings and base layers are available in more fun and exciting colours than ever before. Whilst looking stylish at the yard is an added bonus, finding good quality technical wear is a must for all riders.

I have been a customer of Arion for a couple of years and love their good quality but very affordable riding wear. The riding leggings from their collection are just so comfortable. They don’t loose their shape over time (not matter how many times I am continually washing them) and they have a 4 way stretch to ensure a good, comfortable fit. The leggings are really soft to wear and minimal seams on these help with extra comfort. There is silicone grip to the leg in contrasting black, and the Arion logo features at the centre of the waist, above the two jean style pockets.

Whilst designed with riders in mind, they are also the perfect legging for the gym or lounge wear. There are multiple colours available, all of mine have remained vibrant even when washed continually. The collection also includes numerous matching base layers, jumpers and T-shirts, meaning you can mix and match your outfits at the yard.

Highland & Herringbone Blair Roll Neck Dress

The Spring staple everyone needs 🌸

If you follow my social media channels, you may have seen this dress popping up several times. I have been pretty much obsessed since the moment it entered my wardrobe.

I am definitely a dress wearer. I think they are such a cheat item in your wardrobe, I love clothes that take minimal effort when getting ready, but make it look like you have taken time over your outfit. I love wearing dresses all year round, but it is no secret that it is somewhat easier to style dresses generally in the Summer months. With that in mind, I love finding fitted, stylish jumper dresses, which can be worn all year round, and this dress has just completely come into its own in my wardrobe. I have worn it every single week since I got it – and there is nothing more annoying than when I reach for it, and its in the wash!

The Blair Roll Neck Dress has been designed in a mix of cotton and acrylic to ensure it is a hard wearing and long lasting, but soft and stylish piece. Whilst a fitted design, the dress is really easy to keep casual, as well as dressing up. I took true to size in this dress, but there is a size guide on the website to refer back to if you aren’t sure!

I love pairing this with a waist belt and matching footwear. There are endless options and ways to wear this, it really is a wardrobe staple. I love keeping the dress simple, but adding a colour pop through my accessories and footwear, to create a classic but elegant, easy outfit.

Waring Brooke Candy Stripe Hairband

Candy is the way to my heart… 🍭

Hairbands have come back with such force and I am so here for it! If you are a regular here, you’ll know I have been a lover and wearer of hairbands ever since my primary school days when I was identified in that all important childhood love letter by my black velvet hairband (with my name on may I add!). Well, not much has changed since those days, except I don’t get the love letters any more!

Hairbands are an important part of my outfits. I spend 90% of the time moaning about my hair! It is super fine, lacks volume and generally spoils my outfit on a daily basis. A hairband helps me to style my hair in a way which stops it looking completely limp and lifeless! I also love being able to add colour to my outfit, or matching my accessories, through my hairbands.

Versatile, easy to wear, and a wardrobe essential, a poncho is the perfect addition to any outfit for these cooler spring days.
