Blog,  CCL's Country Girls Wardrobe

The unsung hero’s of my wardrobe! Those pieces that might go unnoticed, but have been there every step of the way in my Country wardrobe!

Hello my Darlings, and welcome back to my blog. I am so excited for today’s post! This blog is going to be focusing on the key pieces in my wardrobe that I am always wearing, but that I maybe don’t share or talk about enough.

Now, I absolutely love sharing my outfit of the days and outfit inspiration on instagram, but these pieces below are the really hard grafters in my wardrobe, those pieces that I’m wearing day in day out, that you maybe don’t see much of in photos!

I have some core pieces in my wardrobe that I really rely on. I can’t wait to share them with you!

So let’s get into it…

Schoffel Millport Tweed Nehru Waistcoat

This piece just looks great with everything, and really easily elevates an outfit! I have owned this for probably a year or two now, and it is worn every few days – especially now the weather is picking up again. This isn’t a particularly thick piece, so it makes for a nice layer under a jacket, as well as a final layer on warmer days.

I’ll often add this over the top of my work outfits, to smarten up the look, which it does effortlessly.

Priced at £270.00, I am wearing Oak Herringbone Tweed.

Joules Portwell Black Waterproof Raincoat With Hood

Everyone needs a waterproof jacket in their wardrobe, and this is the one that I’ll often wear for work. It’s lightweight, it’s waterproof, and it’s actually really smart. There is an internal adjustable waist, which gives the jacket a feminine and flattering fit, but the fact it is waterproof makes it perfect as your smart coat on rainy days.

I have recently worn this a lot in the Lake District, as well as general day to day wear.

Priced at £89.00, I am wearing Black.

Lighthouse Clothing Savannah Coat

I have LIVED in this coat all winter. It’s been the piece I’ve been throwing on over every single outfit.

These type of duvet coats really are an essential for Autumn/Winter days in England, and it’s been a go to on those really cold days.

Priced at £89.99 (currently in the sale), I am wearing Olive.

Fairfax & Favor Salcombe Deck Shoes

These shoes deserve a medal!

Now these deck shoes would probably like the quiet life, an odd pub lunch here, casual walk there. But no no no, let me tell you the life mine have lived. These are my yard shoes, and they really are put through their paces. I wear them rain or shine, poo picking, bringing in and out, generally around the yard. So when I say I can vouch for the quality of these shoes, I really mean it.

These poor deck shoes have a hard life, but they continue to scrub up well, and get on with it. They are also one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I own, these really are the equestrian Cinderella slippers.

Priced at £145.00, I am wearing Navy (discontinued).

Whale of a Time Clothing Rockingham Women’s Jumper

This jumper is another one of those pieces that I’ve been wearing religiously since it launched. Staying cosy in the house, I’m wearing this. Throwing over the top of my gym wear, I’m wearing this. Popping out to the pub for a quick drink, I’m wearing this.

It’s soft and cosy, easy to wear, and oversized. It’s such a great staple to have in the wardrobe and go back to time and time again. I’ll continue to wear this into the warmer weather, due to it’s oversized look!

Priced at £72.95, I am wearing Navy/Pink.

Salthouse England Rosa Loafer

Often you need to break in a pair of loafers for maximum comfort, but these, these are comfortable from the second you get them out of the box. And when I say that, I really mean it. I had a pair arrive just before I left for Paris and the first time wearing them I was walking a billion steps around Paris …. let me tell you, perfect comfort. I have a few pairs and they just effortlessly finish off any outfit.

Whether it is day to day for work, or teamed with jeans and a sweatshirt for casual weekends, everyone needs a pair of these in their wardrobe.

Priced at £138.00, I am wearing Navy .

Fig & Twig Willow Belts

These belts are genius, because they are adjustable. My weight has changed quite a lot, and it continues to fluctuate, so these have been a constant stable in my life. Something that I know FITS. They’ve been that handy go to, whatever the outfit.

Whether you want to wear them tighter round the waist to cinch in a dress or skirt, or pair with jeans peaking out of your jumper, there is always a need for a belt, and this is one versatile one that you’ll be wanting to wear time and time again.

Priced at £18.95, I am wearing Plum.

I also have a discount code for Fig & Twig, which you are able to use online at the checkout – ‘LUCINDA10’.

Hicks & Brown Hengrave Wax Baker Boy Cap

If you follow my socials or blog regularly, you’ll know I love a hat! Bad hair day, reach for one. Sunny, reach for one. Raining, great I’m wearing it then too! I love this wax cap, it works with any outfit, whether I am going super country casual and in wellies, or dressing up more.

Hicks & Brown have an outstanding reputation and it is easy to see why. This piece is so well made, the quality really speaks for itself, and I have certainly had my cost per wear.

Priced at £75.00, I am wearing Olive.
