Steal my style … The Cheltenham November meeting

With the next dates at Cheltenham races just around the corner, there’s no better time than to reflect on what I wore for the three days over the November meeting!

The November meeting really is the start of the build up to the Cheltenham Festival, it brings big crowds and even bigger excitement.

Of course fashion is flowing at this event, with outfits being planned weeks in advance, and everyone getting their statement pieces ready to go!

Outfit One

This was my favourite outfit of the three days. I was so pleased how this turned out! Using two very simple colours, black and plum, a really slick outfit came together.

The statement headpiece was the real talking point of the outfit, however the simplicity of the combination of colours really made for a sophisticated look. A simple roll neck jumper and houndstooth skirt made the base of this outfit, with the rest of the layers and accessories tying into the same theme. The cosy scarf makes this look weather appropriate, whilst the velvet jacket adds texture.

This was the most formal outfit of the meet, and I think this is a style that could be so easily recreated for your own race days!

Outfit Two

Day two incorporated a few different colours to create an outfit with a bit of a colour pop!

A simple herringbone skirt and roll neck as a starting point for the outfit. Layering from there I used a 1/4 zip in a gorgeous pale blue, and a navy blue trench coat to elevate the look.

I’ve used navy tights and navy boots to keep the foundation colour of the outfit as a darker colour, allowing those light colours to pop through the accessories.

My headpiece, scarf and bag all incorporate a softer coral/orange.

Steal my style:

Headpiece | Josephine’s Country Collection
Scarf/Skirt | Shein
Jumper/Quarter zip | Schoffel
Trench Coat | Holland Cooper Clothing
Bag | Katie Loxton
Boots | Fairfax & Favor

Outfit Three

Day three felt like a more relaxed outfit. I opted for jeans for a start, whilst these feel a little more casual, opting for a simple black, navy or white helps to keep the outfit elevated.

I chose a big chunky knit jumper, to temperature at Cheltenham racecourse is always about 5 degrees lower than anywhere else! With this I teamed a simple Zara jacket. This piece was Vinted bargain. When it comes to race day outfits, shopping secondhand or through these resale sites is an amazing way to achieve a high class look at a fraction of the price.

I’ve just accessories to bring the colours of the outfit together. A more statement natural feather headpiece to smarten up the look. A tartan handbag, and brown boots and belt.

Jacket | Zara
Belt | Mackenzie & George
