Plum, Chocolate and Moss Green – Three colourways you won’t want to miss out on this season. How to style, what to wear, and where to buy from!

Hello my darlings, and welcome back to another blog.

I am so excited for this one, as we are delving into some real Autumnal colouways for your A/W wardrobe styling. As we head into racing season, pumpkin picking and fireworks night, these are the must have colours for you to be stying up!

I’ve picked out three colours which will elevate your wardrobe, are easy to style, and will bring both class and sophistication to your outfits this season.

šŸ‡ PLUM šŸ‡

Plum is a rich, deep shade that captures the essence of autumn and winter styling, making it an ideal colourway for the colder seasons. This luxurious hue brings warmth, elegance, and a touch of sophistication to any outfit, perfectly complementing the muted and earthy tones often seen during these months. When it comes to colour psychology, plum conveys a sense of luxury, depth, and mystery. It is associated with calmness, creativity, and introspection, which makes it a perfect choice for the transitional period between the vibrant hues of autumn leaves and the cool, crisp tones of winter. Adding plum to your wardrobe brings a sense of warmth and comfort, making it a cozy yet classy option for the season.

In terms of styling, plum is versatile enough to be incorporated into various outfits made from your wardrobe. A plum coloured coat or jumper can serve as a statement piece, instantly elevating a simple outfit. If you prefer a more subtle approach, consider layering a plum scarf over a neutral-coloured outfit or choosing a plum handbag and accessories to add a pop of colour. I love a plum fedora to finish off an outfit!

When it comes to accessories, plum works wonderfully in the form of gloves, belts, bags, hats, and scarves, providing a striking contrast against classic autumn/winter shades like camel, navy, and moss green. Consider adding a plum-hued belt to cinch in a neutral coat or jumper dress, giving your silhouette more definition, whilst adding that pop of colour. Don’t forget the handy rule of three. Using this rule, you can incorporate three pieces of plum into your outfit, balancing out the look. This often works well on a neutral base. By thoughtfully incorporating plum into your outfits and accessories, you can create a cohesive and stylish look that embodies the charm of the season.

šŸ« CHOCOLATE šŸ«

I like to eat it, and I love to wear it! Chocolate brown is a timeless and earthy shade that perfectly aligns with the spirit of autumn/winter styling. This rich, warm hue brings the cozy, comforting feel of the countryside, making it an ideal choice for those looking to create a sophisticated yet rustic look. When it comes to colour psychology, chocolate is associated with stability, reliability, and warmth. Itā€™s a grounding color that conveys a sense of comfort and resilience, qualities that are especially appealing as the weather turns colder. Wearing chocolate tones can bring a sense of calmness and understated elegance, creating a look that feels both welcoming and refined.

Chocolate is versatile and easy to incorporate into any wardrobe, making it a staple for a/w fashion. A chocolate coloured tweed coat or wool blazer can be a chic outerwear piece that ties together an entire outfit. For a casual yet polished look, opt for chocolate coloured trousers or skirt, or a knitted jumper. This colour pairs beautifully with other warm, earthy shades like burnt orange, olive green, and mustard, creating a harmonious palette. Even darker tones, like moss green or black, can be softened and warmed up with a touch of chocolate.

Accessories are an excellent way to introduce chocolate into your wardrobe. Think leather boots, belts, and handbags in rich, chocolatey tones, which add texture and depth to any outfit. A silk scarf incorporating chocolate or a fedora hat can be the perfect complement to a neutral coat, bringing warmth to your look. If youā€™re looking to add subtle hints of this colour, try adding in chocolate brown gloves or a belt to tie an outfit together. This deep, indulgent shade is both classic and modern, making it an essential color for the autumn/winter season.

Some of my favourite pieces:

Welligogs jacket, Fairfax & Favor boots, Mackenzie & George belt, Rydale hat, Barkworth Reeve bag, Holland Cooper jeans.

šŸŒæ MOSS GREEN šŸŒæ

Moss green is an enchanting, earthy shade that effortlessly captures the essence of autumn and winter in the countryside. Its deep, muted tone is reminiscent of forests and hillsides, making it a perfect colourway for those looking to embrace country fashion. For colour psychology, green is associated with harmony, and tranquility. It has a calming effect, symbolizing growth and balance, which is especially appealing during the colder, quieter months of the year. Moss green, that darker hue in particular, brings a sense of depth and natural elegance, making it a versatile and stylish choice for the season.

When it comes to incorporating moss green into your wardrobe, the possibilities are endless. A moss green coat or skirt can serve as a standout piece that adds a touch of the outdoors to your outfit while still looking polished. For a more understated look, consider wearing a moss green jumper or boots with neutral shades like cream, navy or khaki.. This colour also pairs beautifully with autumnal tones like rust, plum, and burnt orange, creating a warm and harmonious palette. Moss green clothing can add a sophisticated yet rustic touch to your outfit.

Accessories are a great way to introduce moss green into your outfit without overwhelming the look. A moss green scarf or fedora can add warmth and colour, while a handbag or boots in this shade can serve as subtle yet stylish accents. Consider layering a moss green belt over a neutral jumper dress or skirt to create a flattering silhouette or with neutral pale jeans or trousers for a touch of elegance. By layering moss green into your outfits, you can create a chic style thatā€™s perfect for autumn and winter.

Some of my favourite pieces:
