Starting a week today, The Game Fair is just around the corner now… and for anyone with those last minute outfit panics… I have you covered!
I’ve collated 10 pieces that I am loving at the moment for nailing that perfect Game Fair outfit. From clothing to footwear to accessories, I’ve got your last minute outfit planning covered!
My top picks for The Game Fair…
1. The Heeled Regina Suede Boot
By Fairfax & Favor
These are part of the unwritten Country Girl uniform. They just had to be first! A Country show staple, but also an investment piece that will last in your wardrobe for so many years to come, I cannot rave about these boots enough!
I love the Tan for the Game Fair, but they are available in multiple different colourways! They are also available in a flat version, I personally love the heeled version though!
My Style Tip: team with a white dress and summer fedora for a sunny day style, or team with a matching tweed skirt and jacket or gilet for a classic country style.
Priced at £395.00
2. The Hengrave Wax Baker Boy Cap
By Hicks & Brown
I have loved this brand from the very start, so how could they not feature as part of my Game Fair outfit inspo! The Hengrave Wax Baker Boy is practical but stylish, perfect for whatever the British weather decides to throw at us.
Whether it is teamed with a pretty white dress, or jeans and wellies, this wax cap will be sure to be the perfect accessory to your Game Fair outfit.
My Style Tip: complete a tweed skirt and shirt outfit with the Hengrave, or try pairing with jeans and a wax jacket if there’s a chance of showers and a breeze!
Priced at £69.00, available in Navy and Olive.
3. The Rockingham Green Gilet
I LOVE this piece! If this doesn’t scream Country show, I don’t know what does. I have been blown away by these new in gilets from Welligogs! You know I live in this brand for the Races, and I’m loving having versatile Summer pieces from them too!
This gilet has such a flattering fit, and it’s a light enough layer that even if it’s a sunny one, you could use this to complete your outfit, and get your tweed fix!
My Style Tip: use as a layering piece over a simple blouse, shirt or top and team with classic white or black high waisted jeans. Chocolate accessories look amazing with this piece!
Priced at £175.00, but I have a discount code, use ‘LUCINDA10’ at the checkout!
4. Snaffled Skirt
By Waring Brooke
This skirt is just simply stunning, and as an equestrian girlie, I have that trait of wanting a snaffle in some part of my outfit! I was so excited when Waring Brooke brought this out, and I’ve finally purchased one myself!
These skirts are so comfortable, and the tick waistband is not only flattering, but enables you to wear a waist belt with it comfortably too.
My Style Tip: I would style with a white blouse and tan tall suede boots, for a sunny Summers day look. But this would also pair well with a navy top and navy deck shoes or a neutral top and loafers!
Priced at £95.00, available in Tan/Taupe or Navy
5. Millie Mini Crossbody in Fuchsia
By Katie Loxton
Ok, ok, ok…. so not only is it a week until The Game Fair, it’s Barbie release day, and how could I not include something pink in this blog!!
I have gone on a few times now about these mini crossbody bags, but honestly they are just so cute, and so handy! This won’t even feel like you have a bag with you at The Game Fair, whilst still being able to keep all your essentials with you!
My Style Tip: team with a plain shirt or smock dress as a small but statement colour pop! Why not also add a summer fedora with a hat pin that includes some fuchsia or fuchsia boot tassels to tie the colour in!
Priced at £36.99, but I have a discount code, use ‘KLDTI5O8’ for 15% off at the checkout!
6. Daisy Frilled Neck Top
This is the top I wore to Badminton, you all loved it, and I absolutely love it too! This is 100% a wardrobe essential that you need, so easy to pull out and style up as you wish.
The subtle frill detail makes this top feminine, whilst the Classic stripe is well known in the Country scene! This is a staple piece you’ll reach for time and time again, as well as being perfect for your Game Fair outfit planning!
My Style Tip: pair with white jeans or a white denim skirt for an easy, effortless look. Why not finish off with tall suede boots and a matching fedora, or baker boy cap!
Priced at £39.95, available in Navy/Cream or Coral/Cream stripe!
7. Melissa Jersey Blouse
By Holland Cooper
This is the perfect Country chic piece to build your outfit from! I absolutely love the timeless elegance of the Melissa Blouse. It’s been a firm favourite in my wardrobe, and whether it’s worn alone, or peaking out from underneath a blazer or gilet, it’s a beautiful piece to build any outfit from.
Holland Cooper always provide those feminine investment pieces, perfect for any Country show. I’ve been such a huge fan of theirs from the really early days, and I truly believe their stunning designs are worth investing in.
My Style Tip: pair with a beautiful tweed skirt and tall suede boots for effortless Country style. Or dress up with a pair of black or white jeans, tweed blazer and classic loafers.
Priced at £79.00
8. The Painswick Sunglasses Tortoiseshell
By Hortons England
A good pair of sunglasses are essential for a day out! You will rarely catch me without a pair, as there is nothing worse than being caught out, and spending the day squinting, blinded by the sun!
Now admittedly, at this stage we will be lucky if the sun makes an appearance for the Game Fair, but … we remain hopeful! And a go to pair has to be those from Hortons England! I love this brand and they have a huge array of gorgeous sunglasses (if you want to know what would best suit your style, I wrote a whole sunglasses guide, check that out here!).
My Style Tip: wear with absolutely ANY outfit you choose on the day!
Priced at £59.00
9. Broderie Belted Long Sleeve Mini Shirt Dress
You just cannot beat a white dress, and I can guarantee you see a few of these making an appearance again at The Game fair this year! They have always been a solid favourite of mine, and they truly are a summer stable.
This gorgeous Lipsy piece is really classy, perfect for styling up for The Game Fair.
My Style Tip: team with a silk scarf, hairband or fedora, and your favourite boots or loafers – summer style sorted!
Priced at £56.00
10. Icon White High Waisted Jeans
A classic pair of white jeans are the ultimate staple wardrobe piece for Summer, but finding a good pair can really test even the most patient of people. I absolutely adore Welligogs, so when they introduced the Icon jeans collection, it was safe to say…. I was excited!
These jeans certainly live up to expectation. Flatting and comfortable, these are the easiest piece to start any outfit from.
My Style Tip: you can literally pair with anything! Shirts, blouses, rugby shirts, t-shirts! The options are endless. For a classic style, pair with a shirt and gilet.
Priced at £99.00, but I have a discount code, use ‘LUCINDA10’ at the checkout!
If you’re going to The Game Fair, I hope you have the most amazing time!! I cannot wait to be there!
See you soon my Darlings!
Lots of love, Lucinda xo
