Having a ‘Whale Of A Time’ in The Suffolk Quarter Zip Sweatshirt ✨

Who else LOVES a colour pop in their outfit, hands up 🙋🏻‍♀️, well I am right there with you. As much as I love classic colours, for me, creating an outfit should be all about class, style and most importantly, fun! If it is a bore picking out the same old styles day in day out, how are we ever supposed to feel sassy, confident and stylish in what we are wearing?!

I love putting outfits together, and of course I have days where I throw on the closest thing to me, but I also love mixing colours and styles to create a very ‘me’ look.

Well, with all of the above in mind, I have the most perfect sweatshirt to share with you, but first, let me introduce to you the brand behind the product.

So who are Whale Of A Time Clothing (if you aren’t familiar already!)?
Well I’m glad you asked…. Whale Of A Time Clothing is a British Lifestyle brand and was founded by Ellie Wales, who’s passion for art and textiles became a dream come true when she established the brand in September 2016. Ellie had a vision of creating a brand that was both affordable and timeless. Each piece of clothing is designed with a fun, retro-inspired twist, creating unique, effortless casual wear.

What sort of clothing do they do?
The brand specialises in casual wear. They do everything from jackets, sweatshirts, deck shirts, t-shirts, and accessories, such as hats.

Is it right for me?
If you love bright colours, and comfortable, stylish clothing, then yes (!!!) this brand is definitely for you!

Will they be at any shows?
The brand do attend a number of events throughout the year, with previous events including Badminton Horse Trials, Rockingham International Horse Trials, The Game Fair and Burghley Horse Trials.

So now you know a little bit more, let’s have a closer look at my favourite product…

The Suffolk Quarter Zip Sweatshirt
I have had my eye on this gorgeous sweatshirt for a long while. I love the pastel colours, which are absolutely not limited to your Spring/Summer wardrobe. I had been really wanting a more casual look sweatshirt that I am able to dress up or down, to add to my wardrobe. The Whale Of A Time clothing pieces have always stood out for me, and when I saw this colour combination, I knew it was going to be the most perfect fit for my style.

The Suffolk Quarter Zip Sweatshirt adds a fun, sophisticated twist to a classically designed quarter zip sweatshirt. A quarter zip sweatshirt, in my opinion, is a wardrobe essential, idea for every occasion and can easily be dressed up or down. The sweatshirt is a unisex design and is made from heavy weight organic cotton. The sweatshirt is cosy and perfect for layering during these winter months, but due to the fit, this will also be an essential for the Spring/Summer season, when that extra looser layer is required.

There is a sizing guide available on the website, and sizes for the sweatshirt come in XXS-XL. I went for the XXS as I do prefer my clothes to be a little more fitted. That being said, the product has been designed to have a relaxed fit, so do bear that in mind when considering the size.

The Suffolk Quarter Zip is available in 3 different colour combinations – Blue/Pink/White, Navy/Red/White and Red/Navy/White. The first colour in each combination being the main colour of the sweatshirt. All 3 colour combinations would be easy enough to style. I personally also loved the navy option!

Top Styling Tips:
I’ve worn this sweatshirt everywhere, from dog walks to brunching. It is really comfortable, and the more relaxed fit makes for the perfect additional later, or throw over to add some colour to an outfit. The colour combination I went for has been really easy to dress up and down, I love it paired with navy! The style and fit has meant I’ve been living in the sweatshirt recently because it really is just so easy to throw on, whilst still feeling stylish.

Pair the sweatshirt with dark jeans for a casual every day look. I thought the pastel of the sweatshirt complimented dark jeans perfectly, creating an effortlessly easy, stylish outfit, with a slightly relaxed feel. I paired with matching coloured Fairfax & Favor tassels to create an additional colour pop!

Pairing a quarter zip with a classic denim skirt created the perfect brunch outfit. To create a completely different look, pair a shirt underneath. This look is great for a day out shopping or with friends, a nice relaxed feel whilst still looking stylish.

For the ultimate comfy casual, pair a quarter zip with your favourite leggings. This is a really relaxed, casualwear look that will keep you both comfy and cosy… perfect!
