Dress to impress with your bestie! How to style outfits for Cheltenham races!
Happy December my Darlings! With the dark evenings, frosty mornings and Christmas in the air, I can’t help but feel festive at the moment!
In the spirit of the upcoming December race meet at Cheltenham Racecourse, join me as I explore race day style with my good friend, and fellow instagrammed, Ellie Levvy. Both Ellie and I are obsessed with showcasing the epitome of refined and timeless fashion at the races, so I wanted to share with you the outfits we styled at the last Cheltenham race meet.
So sit back and relax as I share with you 6 outfits to inspire your own race day style.
Dressing for a day at the races with your bestie …
Dressing for the races doesn’t have to be difficult, you can style outfits in a variety of ways. Ellie and I both attended the November Meet at Cheltenham races for the three days. You can find our outfits below.
Day One
My Outfit – A Hint of Pink π
PINK, goes with everything…. or so Barbie says! This is an old season Joules jacket, which I haven’t worn for a while, and forgot how much I loved! I had so much fun styling up this simple outfit. There was nothing complicated about the colour way, but the little details such as the wide brimmed hat, and fur scarf really brought the outfit together. This shows just how easily a pop of colour can be worked into an outfit.
Hat, Jacket + Jeans | Joules
Jumper | H&M
Fur Wrap | Etton Taylor
Bag | Salthouse England (Use βLUCINDA10β for discount)
Boots | Fairfax & Favor
Ellie’s Outfit – Warm Neutrals π
Beautiful Ellie has made up her outfit of neutral tones. Combining the new Grace trench from Fairfax & Favor with a combination of browns and creams, to really let the jacket do the talking. Every element of Ellie’s outfit oozes sophistication and she has mixed leather colour ways to tie in every colour throughout her outfit – flawless!

Fedora | Hicks & Brown
Roll Neck | Etton Taylor
Skirt | Made by Ellie
Day Two
My Outfit – Lusting over Lilac π
I purchased the lilac fur from one of the stands at Cheltenham the day before, and I just had to style it for the same meet. In my opinion, Lilac is a more unique colour for styling, and it really popped at the races. This set beautifully against the subtle tweed of the Welligogs jacket. This outfit was finished off with simple Navy accessories.

Ellie’s Outfit – The Blues π
Ellie opted for an array of blues for her outfit on day two. Combining a mix of lighter and darker blues, Ellie has created another gorgeous outfit. The combination of light and dark shows just how well you can mix different shades of the same colour, to make your outfit really pop. Ellie has styled the new Ink Navy from Fairfax & Favor perfectly, and again features another skirt SHE MADE HERSELF! True talent!
Coat | River Island
Boots + Bag | Fairfax & Favor
Hat / Feather Pin | Mackenzie & George
Fur Wrap | Etton Taylor
Skirt | Made by Ellie
Day Three
My Outfit – The Greens πΏ
For the final day, I chose a combination of Green and Tan, to create a classic country look. I love wearing a cape, because you can layer as much or as little as you like underneath these, which works perfectly whatever time of year, meaning you get the most out of your purchase. This beautiful piece from Hunt & Hall has detachable faux fur, which means I could add my own fur collar on this occasion, to tie in with the Tan accessories. I again opted for another wide brim hat, which feels that little bit more boogie on race days!
Hat | Joules
Feather Pin | J&T Plumes
Fur | Vintage
Cape | Hunt & Hall
Jumper | H&M
Tassel + Jeans | Holland Cooper Clothing (Shop here)

Ellie’s Outfit – A Pop of Colour π
Ellie has chosen tantelising Teal for her final outfit, and she pulls it off effortlessly. A combination of her own self made tweed skirt, and matching fedora, this outfit shows how teaming more unique colours, and pairing with matching accessories, can lift a more simple outfit base of black and neutrals.
