CCL Diaries – 14 – I’ve been keeping a secret…

So, I’ve been keeping a secret …

I’m writing this from Heathrow Airport – I can’t quite believe I’m actually saying that… FINALLY!

Aside from a quick work trip in October, I haven’t been on a plane since I went to Nashville at the start of 2020. I love flying, and I think it’s important for us to have chance to remove ourselves from our busy lives. It’s something I’ve noticed massively in myself over the last couple of years, I struggle to switch off and unless I go away, I do end up feeling trapped. Mentally, removing yourself from the everyday once in a while is blissful and needed, and I’ve missed it.

I haven’t said much about having a trip planned as I didn’t want to jinx it. I’ve been totally on edge with planning this, and most of the time it’s felt like it would be too good to be true with how the last couple of years have played out.

BUT … I’m currently in a hotel sharing this with you. Well, actually I’m at dinner to be precise. My excitement is out of this world right now. I can’t wait to set out on my next adventure. This year I have been so focused on getting back out there, embracing every opportunity and chance that I can. I have a full diary and so much to share with this blog and everyone that enjoys reading.

I’m in a really good place at the moment, I’ve had some big changes, and I’m feeling good about things. Whilst life is more busy, and somewhat more chaotic than ever, I’m finding so much peace in where I am at. I feel some guilt where I don’t push out content as fast as I was doing, I wish I had more time to sit and write and write. Many people think I blog full time, however, I actually have a very manic full time career in equestrian sales. I juggle everything, and I love it, but I still feel that guilt. I continue to be extremely proud of this blog though, and I endeavour to continue writing for as long as I have a love and passion for sharing.
