5 classic outfit ideas to get you super excited for Cheltenham Festival
With less than 5 weeks to go until Cheltenham Festival, I am being inundated with questions about what to wear to this infamous event!
Cheltenham Festival has a much more relaxed dress code than something like Royal Ascot, so there really is no panic for creating a certain type of outfit – you really can go in what you feel comfortable in.
I’ve put together 5 outfits from some new in pieces from my favourite brands. I am going to focus a lot on Cheltenham over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of content – I will also bring back the popular different budgets blog!
But for now, kick back and relax … 🥂

Matching in Monochome creates a completely classic, flawless outfit
I really love the simplicity of this Black and White outfit. Whilst easy to put together, this looks incredibly well thought out and detailed. The Guinea feathers of the fedora match the houndstooth of the jacket beautifully, and simple Black leather and suede accessories finish this outfit off so crisply. I would finish off with a White blouse, or roll neck jumper, depending on the weather. This is sure to be a showstopper on race day.

The Sennowe Women’s Belt Black Suede | Fairfax & Favor
The Upton Women’s Tall Boot Black Leather | Fairfax & Favor

A navy showstopper to steal the show
Maybe Navy is your colour, and if it is, I can relate! A much softer colour to wear than Black, Navy is a beautiful base colour – suiting all skin tones. The new Sienna Cape from Fairfax & Favor looks like it was made for The Festival, and it should be released in time, therefore why not be one of the first to get this piece trackside! Teamed with a striking tweed skirt and all the accessories – this outfit is cosy, comfortable and incredibly chic.

Everything is good when it’s made of Chocolate
Ok wow, I love this one! When I say my jaw dropped when I saw the new Balmoral in Mocha, I mean it! Welligogs jackets are the definition of race day style, and this whole outfit just screams Country Classic Lucinda styling. I would team the Browns and Chocolates with a simple pair of Black Jeans and a plain White shirt or chunky jumper. Also, why not try something a little different with the pom pom fedora from Hortons England!

Plum always has my heart
We see The Sienna Cape making another appearance here, this time in the Taupe Herrington which comes with the gorgeous removable Toscana collar. I’ve gone for teaming this with the rich, beautiful plum, which has been so popular this A/W season. This outfit oozes sophistication and is perfect for Cheltenham Festival – where a splash of colour always goes down well! Plum accessories really lift an outfit, and teamed with simple neutrals, the colour speaks for itself. This combination is sure to be a winner!
